Roy Geddes is a Guyanese steelpan musician, builder, and cultural ambassador who has dedicated his life to the development and preservation of the steelpan art form in Guyana.
Geddes has been at the forefront of steelpan music in Guyana for decades. He leads the Silvertones Orchestra and has been instrumental in advancing the craft of pan building and performance in the country. He established a steelpan museum at his home, which has become a destination for visitors and researchers interested in the history of the instrument in Guyana.
Geddes is recognised as a living monument to the steel band tradition in Guyana. His contributions to pan music have been documented by the Percussive Arts Society, and he continues to mentor young pan players. His museum preserves the history of steelpan in Guyana for future generations.
