Lazarus Lynch is a chef, cookbook author, and media personality born and raised in New York City. His mother is Guyanese and his father was from Alabama.
Lynch developed the brand Son of a Southern Chef, which celebrates the intersection of Southern American and Caribbean cooking. He is a two-time champion of the Food Network competition show Chopped. He published his cookbook, Son of a Southern Chef: Cook with Soul, which blends recipes from his dual heritage.
