📜 Dave Martins wrote Guyana's unofficial second national anthem in about an hour at the Pegasus Hotel in Georgetown. "Not a Blade of Grass" became the voice of Guyanese sovereignty — played on the radio daily and sung wherever the flag flies.
Even though I was very young at the time, I can still remember the buzz around this song, Not Blade of Grass, it became our second anthem, and is so relevant today. Thank you Dave Martins, I will always remember this song.
